Special Purpose Machines.

FDL continue to develop their design and production capabilities. Working closely with local partners FDL has used their increased capacity to design & build special purpose machinery.

Edge Trim Flying Shear Machine.

This machine collects the edge trims from a continuous plastic sheet extrusion machine through a motor driven nip. The trims are continuously chopped using a pneumatic flying shear and hydraulic guillotine. The machine is controlled using a small Mitsubishi PLC and is fully guarded and CE marked.

Pneumatic Bearing Press.

This unit is fully pneumatic and the press will only operate once the door has closed. The simple loading tray allows for rapid load/unload.

Stanley Saw Test Rig.

This unit combined servo drives and pneumatics to best simulate the action of an end user. Fully automatic with stack loading means just press start and walk away. Software monitors loads and cutting times.

Sub Assembly Rig.

This unit was fully pneumatic and was built to sub assemble pipe fittings for Wavin. It incorporates snap fits, threaded parts, seal lubrication and testing. Safety light curtain and cycle lamps means rapid cycle times with semi-skilled operators.
